This 1978 short film Within the Woods, created/directed by cult classic hero Sam Raimi  was the precurser for the 1981 horror legend, The Evil Dead.

The film features Bruce Campbell, who would later become the hero Ash in the Evil Dead Trilogy. Within the Woods was originally created as a selling point to investors on funding a full feature-length film.
